I had nothing left to give. Friends and families and lovers had all taken their piece. Strangers and politicians and businessmen and internet commercials had taken the rest. Lost hope and broken dreams and failed romances had drained me to the drop. The desire, the belief that things could change, the very spirit of willpower had snapped and the marrow sucked out.
