The Shadows Grew Darker IV
Matthew Ryan Fischer
The crows were on the move. The old roads grew dark and twisted.
The forest reached out and closed the paths. The swamp spread and became impassable. The covered bridge was full of spirits. At the old abandoned village,
the necromancer and his spectral bride had sent the shadows forth into the
night and now were calling their demons home.
At the crossroads, the ghost solders were led by two new figures. A
man in uniform and a stately woman by his side. The crows circled in the sky above,
following the path the phantoms took. A wave of darkness across the land. The
dead continued on their way. The crows saw it all.
