In 2013 I wrote a new short story every day. It was a simple writing exercise to keep me motivated, to practice and grow, and to actually get ideas out on paper. I made limited rules for myself, but the basics were to think about ideas for an hour and then write one, with another hour as a time limit. They weren't supposed to be worked on all day or perfected or anything. The point was to publish them. By midnight. Everyday. I didn't go back to rewrite them or add new or better content. They had to exist as they were.
Well, here it is ten years later, and I guess I'm going to try to do that again. The goal might be a little more broad this time. A new story every day. Or maybe a return to an old idea. A rewrite. A sequel. A new story based on an old idea. Perhaps there will be more than one if the mood strikes. Perhaps a rewrite, a sequel and something new. But the goal will remain to keep them short, to write them quickly and to make sure I can get them done and move on to more.
Welcome. Good luck. Enjoy. Let's see what happens.
